Out with the old...in with the new!

Well not completely out! But I've got myself a swanky new PC! Still trying to get used to the size of the screen...need to adjust the colours a little me thinks ;)

Have pretty much NO idea how to use Vista, and it is starting to get annoying...mainly cause everything I get somewhere, Ayla decides to wake up and I lose it all LOL! So really what I'm saying is I shouldn't be blogging, I should be trying to figure out this puter!

The other thing driving me nuts...all my contacts are on the other puter, and I can't figure out how to network them...mind you that is with about 20 seconds worth of trying to figure it out!
The old puter is now the kids, and they are pretty pleased with that. No more getting kicked off cause mum needs to work or get an EB fix LOL

Other news...the girls are still sick :( Poor Ayla has been hit the worst! And to top it off, she hates the Dimatapp and chucks it all up (and some) every time I try and give it to her :( Poor chicken!
Rhiannon is on the mend though. Just a little cough.

Connor is going good. Had a crap weekend though. He had a seizure on Saturday morning (first for 11 days) so we think that was the problem - headache, tired, irritable!
But Saturday night he was full of beans again and doing some amazing things! He now understands the concept of hide & seek! Him & Rhiannon were playing, but they were so funny! They both kept on hiding in the same spot - next to the TV in the loungeroom, and they were both cackling like chooks!
He aslo had some apple! Not a HUGE bite, but he had a tiny bite, tasted the juice and was ok about it! THIS IS HUUUUUUUUUGE for him!!! YAY!
THEN last night he had a couple of nibbles of the crumbed chops we had for dinner! OMG!
I actually bought the book "Special Diets for Special Kids" on Thursday from Book In Hand and amazing store in Redcliffe that stocks books on Asperger's & Autism ONLY! My goodness there is a lot of info on the spectrum! And LOVELY people running the shop!
So anyway...I got this book in the hope that we can try and make the transition to the Gluten & Casein free diet. It actually isn't going to be as hard as I thought.
He doesn't have any dairy in his diet, so the Casein isn't an issue. But he does have quite a bit of wheat and wheat products...so now the search for alternatives that he will actually eat!
I know the bakery down the road has Gluten Free Bread, so will be getting some of that today!

I'm not expecting huge things, but hoping that it helps with the recent mood swings!

Also trying reeeeeeeally hard to keep up with a dairy free diet for me...it is definitely milk at th every least that is causing Ayla's skin flare ups :-( But I'm finding it really hard to not have a coffee! I have taken to some Green Tea & Chamomile (which is odd for me, cause I never used to be able to stand it!) so hoping to ditch the coffee habit all together! Wish me luck!

Oh, and finally, anyone who has noticed I'm not on MSN it's cause I don't know my password for that account, so have got a new one...add me with BelHirning at hotmail dot com

Off to have a tea.
